The presentation was Thinking in Data by Alex Miller (based on or similar to his Enemy of the State talk, which was very good. The venue was the Riot Games office in Clayton, which was cool to see. The walls are decorated in art from League of Legends. It felt like a good crowd who was eager to learn.
On a whim, I searched for “watercolors” in the Google+ Communities page and found the Watercolors group. I was blown away by some of the personal work that people are posting there, as well as links to stuff off-site. Watercolors continually amaze me in how diverse the results of the medium can be.
